NEx Releases New NEx-Sponsored Research Report

NEx, an ACI Center of Excellence, has released a new NEx-Sponsored Research Report.

RD.03-4(25) “NEx Research Report: Investigate High Dosage of Admixtures on Concrete Durability and Cost to Reduce Cement Content and Water-Cement Ratio with a Control Concrete Mix Design” was authored by Mehdi K. Moradllo, PhD, PE, as the Principal Investigator, as well as Jafar S. Bukhari, PhD out of Temple University.

This research report focuses on the usage of admixtures to impact concrete sustainability through emissions and water consumption. It aims to identify the optimum dosage of water-reducing admixtures for sustainability, examines the impact of these admixtures on fresh and hardened concrete, and implements life cycle cost analysis compared to a control conventional concrete mixture.
