CICE2025 Student Competition Challenges Participants to Predict FRP Performance

The International Institute for FRP in Construction (IIFC), an Allied Partner of NEx, is hosting the 12th International Conference on FRP Composites in Civil Engineering (CICE2025), and with it, a global challenge for students in the field.

As part of the event, IIFC invites students and academic teams to participate in the CICE2025 Student Benchmark Competition, focused on predicting the behavior of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with CFRP laminates using the Near Surface Mounted (NSM) technique. Participants are encouraged to apply numerical simulations or analytical methods to estimate key performance parameters under service and ultimate limit state conditions.
