Allied Partner NRMCA Releases Fire Testing Study Confirming ICF Wall NFPA 285 Compliance

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), in collaboration with ICFMA, has published a groundbreaking study, sponsored by NEx, titled “Investigating ICF Wall Construction Meeting the Requirements of NFPA 285.” The report demonstrates that walls constructed using Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) comply with NFPA 285 fire safety standards, a significant advancement for resilient and safe construction methods. 

The findings confirm that ICF systems can meet stringent fire-safety requirements, paving the way for broader adoption of these resilient, energy-efficient building solutions in multi-story construction.
